each shadowed car, another pair of eyes

music: this bike is a pipe bomb

i got back from the south last night at about 11 pm. i have really mixed feelings about being home. i could have stayed away for a good deal longer given the opportunity, but once i was headed home, i felt a bit of the same relief i felt leaving. not so strong of course.

spending 15 hours in a car with the girl you have a huge crush on is a good way to spend 15 hours. especially when it's reciprocal. i'm excited.

spending 22 hours in jail is no fun, no matter how happy i looked in those pictures. getting out and eating burritos is something i'm in favor of. though if i could have just gotten a free burrito in the first place it woulda been easier.

i spent a couple days in richmond with alison and george going to punk shows and chugging soy milk and dumpstering beer and cinnamon buns and breakfast cereals from our childhoods. serving and receiving Food Not Bombs and getting DIY tattoos of trains and such.

now i'm home. i don't want to be.

p.s. "are environmentalists today's communists?"

friend's camp was everything and fucking more. weren't none too emotional saying goodbye to laura cause it sure ain't goodbye, seeing as i'm seeing her in two weeks or less. and i know i'll see lillie soon, but damn, sayin good bye to the rest was fucking torture. i know damn well i won't see most of them again. something was different this year, but i don't know what. i was only there for a week, but it felt longer.

i need to hit the road cause shit kidz, i been in arlington for less that four hours and i already feel dead again. why does this town do this to me?

i cried last night for the first time in a while.

dan and i picked up a sweet fixie and a really nice Cannondale at a yardsale for a combined price of 60 bucks. the only problem i found is that the chain on the fixed gear needs to be shortened, which is easy. i'm hella psyched. i'll post pictures later tonight. i'm off to my first steering committee meeting. score.
